What view (Boardwalk or Garden/Pool) are the village green rooms in.

garden/pool. they're only studios. it's a great way to get a semi-boardwalk view if you can't get boardwalk view.

I had a one bedroom on the end and that was considered Boardwalk view. It had 2 balconies, one small one (covered) off the living room and a huge one off the bedroom. You could literally fit 20 people out there.

I had a garden view that was village green - a studio. Loved it. Very close to the lobby. Plus I loved how the balcony was under the overhang- made for a rain or shine balcony. I had requested close to the lobby .

I am going to go visit Boardwalk Villas and ask to see a room when I am down in WDW next month to see how I like it for future trips :dance3: I have been reading and hearing some great things about them and I can't wait to see them in person :woohoo:

No need to ask to see a room. There is a model room open during the day for walk-in touring. It's on the BoardWalk near Big River Grill.

Some CMs have never heard of the Village Green. So, I've asked for a room over Wyland Galleries (twice). I've literally had the room, directly above the Gallery...both times.

LOVE the studios over the village green. Standard points for a Boardwalk view. Was lucky enough to have it on two visits. When I made our reservations I requesded the green and then upon check asked again if there were any studios available in that area. Fantastic!

actually the VG studios cost the same points as BW view studios (P/G and BW view points are same).
however, the BW view studios go so quickly, so VG studios are a good option to request when booking P/G :)

btw, we once (only once) booked too late to get our beloved BW view, and wound up with P/G. we requested the VG area but didn't get it......now we book as far in advance as possible, and change our dates if we can't get BW view (yes, it is that important to us:cloud9:)

My bad! Thanks for catching that. I knew what I wanted to say, just came out wrong!

The VG studios are the best!

We are getting close to being able to check in online (BCV for 2 nights then BWV for 8 nights.)
Can you make this request online or do you have to call ???
This will be our very first visit as dvc members so any room they give us will be GREAT but we are thinking of adding on points either at BWV or BCV so we are staying at each to see which one we all like the best !!!

Call MS to have it put on your reservation.

I requested VG for my stay at the end of July, but I didn't know they were just studios. Do any of them lock off into a 1 BR? I have a 2 BR reserved, and I would love to be able to stay somewhere near the VG. Thanks!

Sorry, but no. All of the VG rooms are dedicated studios. The x051 rooms, at the very end of the VG leg of the hallway, are BW view and are dedicated 1 bedrooms.

Bummer! Thank you anyway!

^On the boardwalk side of the resort, there is no grass except for the large square called the Village Green that sits between BWV and BWI and is right outside and below the lobby area. On the following map it is the area in the center of the resort just below the boat dock (no. 24) and has the word "RED" in it: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/boardwalk.htm
