Toured this resort and really liked it. Cannot find how many studios are in the resort--don't want to end up being like VGF and buying into a resort that does not have enough studios. I see MF are a little higher, but point totals are not as bad as some of the other resorts we've stayed at.

Re-thinking getting out of the DVC, and possibly going with BWV after we sell our BLT. Really, really, liked this resort--only downside is the early contract end date. Looks like re-sale prices are around $95-$105.....so it is out of the question to try for low-80's buy in, or will Disney ROFR?

On a side note talked with a great CM showing tours that said Disney just had a meeting with their Sales team, and said they are going to get VERY aggressive with the ROFR in the very near future. Said the re-sale market is really hurting their new sales.

97 dedicated studios + 149 lockoff studios (could be part of a 2 bedroom).

I've owned BWV since 1999 and have not had difficulty getting a studio at 11 months.

But a strong resale market should also help their sales knowing that you wouldn't lose much if you had to sell. Can't say that for pretty much any other timeshare.

ROFR is going to increase because people aren't buying PVB as expected and DVD has people to keep employed. Selling the older resorts again brings in some money to pay the bills.

really think DVC will offer an extended contract like they did at OKW - but you have to pay for it.

now owned at BWV since 95 or 96 - and it is nice. but LOVED BLT - it is close to the MK so it will be in demand.

dvc is buying back alot - so don't know what is going on - but guess DVC earnings have really improved for them to do the buy back.

But the extended contract at OKW was such a flop. And now they have some members with 2042 and some with 2057 ending dates in the same building. What do they do in 2042?

the ones with 2042 will expire in 2042.

heard (not sure where) that they sold more contracts than they projected.

I heard the opposite since I own at OKW. But you have owners with ownership in buildings with different expiration dates. Do they convert the 2057 owners to other buildings and tear down the 2042 buildings? Do they renovate the full building and only bill the extended owners? They can't use 2042 funds for renovations after that date.

this is my opinion and means nothing - but my guess is they will try to rent the building to regular customers - or - they will resell the points. right now when DVC buys back a 2042 contract they made it 2057 - so since they would be getting these w/o buying them would think they could resell them - but really think they would make more money renting them to regular guests. guess it depends upon the economy.

yea only sold OKW when I could buy BLT - so I still owned when they did the offer.
