According to a website I found, Boardwalk Villas has, by far, the highest proportion of Studios to total rooms at 383 total rooms with 97 dedicated studios. As someone who is only interested in DVC for studios, that seems very attractive to me.

But is my assumption correct that it would be easier to get a studio at BWV than anywhere else, or have so many like-minded people bought into BWV that it makes no difference in practice?

DH and I are studio people. I think your chance of getting a studio depends on a few things: Booking at the 11 month window for your home resort or the 7 month window for all other resorts. It also depends on the time of year and the resort and view that you want.

Good Luck

BWV is our of our home resorts, and studios are our usual choice. If you want standard view, you will have to book pretty much at the 11-month mark, especially if you want one of the busier times (holidays, F & W, etc.).
If preferred is okay with you, you have a reasonable chance of getting it at the 7-month time :thumbsup2 . There are many Disers who report being lucky at 3-4 months out, but that's not something to count on. :goodvibes

We have had more dedicated studio stays at the BWV. We like those rooms at any resort because they don't have a connecting door, so just seem a bit quieter..and maybe they have an extra bench seat, or a little different set up, so we think they're rather special. At BCV we had one that had a huge balcony!
