BWV Standard View? Annual Pass?

First, I have to say how excited I am. We are going on a 7-nt. Disney Cruise in December and just had to add 4 nights at BLT, our first stay as DVC owners. So the last few days I have been thinking about buying our park tickets, and trying to decide if we should only buy enough days for this trip, or more for our next trip, or an Annual Pass. That got us talking about when we might go back, and whether it would be in the next year....

So, I just booked BWV for spring break (only 4.5 months out)! :yay: I booked standard view, but I have no idea what to expect. Anyone know what standard view is like at BWV? They did not have the boardwalk view. They had preferred (pool, garden) view, but I decided only BW view would be worth the extra points to me.

And, if you only plan to go to a park 10-12 days in a year, is it worth it to buy an Annual Pass? One thing I like is that DD will be nine for the first trip and 10 for the second, so if we buy an annual pass, she will be getting in for the children's rate for both trips. I guess I should do the math, but wondered if there's a magic number of days/year that is common knowledge for when you should buy the annual pass.

Thanks in advance!

A child AP is 366.36 with tax. A 10-day park hopper no expiration is 473.95 with tax. If you go with the 10-day ticket, disney will change your DD ticket to an adult ticket when you go back at no charge. I say go with the AP.:thumbsup2

Standard views at BWV are parking lot view for the most part. We booked the same for spring break next year - couldn't see spending the extra points and possibly getting stuck with a view of the clown pool!

I agree that the AP is the way to go if you will be there more than 10 days in a 12 month period. Especially with the DVC discounted price on AP's.

Standard view rooms face the driveway and entrance area of the resort. If your room is in the right spot, you'll have a good view of Illuminations. Put in a location request for "facing bus stop, top floor" and if you get a room in that location, it's a good one.

This was our recent dedicated 1BR standard view room. We were on the first floor and only a couple of doors down from the door that leads out to the parking lot (very convenient. :) ) Ironically, we were just two doors down from the studio std view room we were in last year.

You can see high level fireworks from EPCOT if you step out in front of the trees.
