My wife saw some treads about husbands snoring. Of course I never snore but......if I were in a studio and "decided" to sleep on it, how comfortable are they? Do they have a gosh awful bar across the middle or are they pretty good?

My DH also has a snoring problem. I sofa beds that I have slept on at BWV are all the old style with the bar. They were okay for me, but I'm not too fussy. Hopefully others will chime in with their reviews. Also, we always get a 1 or 2 bedroom and the ones I have used have been those in the living room of the 1 bedroom. Don't know if the sofa beds in the studios are any better or worse.
We have not been at BWV since April, but I have not heard of any of the new style sleepers at BWV yet. They are supposed to be really great, so I'm hoping that eventually new ones will be at BWV also.

We brought our girls with us one time and they had to sleep on the sofa bed. After the first night we noticed how they pulled the mattress off and used it on the floor. No complaints after that.

I could have sworn I read on these boards that BWV were due for new sofa beds this year...the kind like SSR. This info came from a poster who attended the annual meeting last December.

As I've got a BWV vacation coming up, I'm always asking for confirmation of this news. Or, better yet, evidence that the coversion has actually begun. Alas, nobody ever responds to either question.

But, I'm still holding out hope. We've got less than 60 days till our vacation and we'll need to use all the sofa beds in our three 1BR villas.

Fingers crossed...

My dughter's 6' 200lb boyfriend slept on the sofa bed in our 2br villa at the BCV two years ago and he said it was fine. They're married now and I asked him again and said he didn't have to lie and he STILL said it was very comfortable. Hope that helps!

1st time, DS (now 17yo) closed the bed & just slept on sofa (not comfy as he is close to 6' tall. then he tried putting the mattress on floor. better, but still not comfy.
second trip, he removed all the sofa/chair cushions, & set up a "bed". better for sleeping, but a nuisance setting up/taking down.
third time, we brought an aerobed ~ perfect! :thumbsup2

of course, new sofabeds would be "mo' perfect" ;)

:sunny:

I just got back from a one bedroom and actually slept on the sofa bed one nite with my son.I'm 6 foot 1 and 285 pounds and had no problem at all with a bar in sofa.It was actually quite comfortable.

Unless you were a very LIGHT snorer, moving less than 3 feet away to the sofa bed in the studio really wouldn't do much to cut down the noise!

I wonder if anyone ever put their snoring spouse out on the balcony of the studio to compete with the frogs and crickets? Lol! :rolleyes1

SleepyatDVC! Waaaayyyy to funny! I am printing your thought out right now and pasting it up on my snoring husband's bathroom mirror................LUVNIT!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:
