Could someone tell me what the difference is between the Boardwalk view (well, I think I know what that would be ) and the Preferred View? These are both charged the same number of points. I have a preferred view reserved but am on the waitlist for the Boardwalk view. They had 2 of the 3 nights that I wanted, but not the 1st night.

Should I call back and reserve the two nights that are available? They told me to book the preferred view and if the one night became available they would automatically change my reservation to the Boardwalk view. I am somewhat confused whether this was the best way.

The Boardwalk view is a specific Preferred view that can only be booked using points. These views don't go to cash reservations. That leaves about 20% of the rooms for Standard view and 60% of the rooms for Preferred view (water/pool views). If you don't get that first night, you'll have to move after the first night to get the rest of your nights.
