We are planning on staying at the Boardwalk with prefered Boardwalk view in a 1 bedroom?
Does anyone have a room number that they would recommend for a good view of Epcot fireworks?
I've also read you can see Magic Kingdom firworks. Any good rooms for viewing that?

And if your on the top floors can you still people watch on the Boardwalk as well? Or is that better on the lower floors?

Generally, the rooms farthest away from the elevators have the best views of the EPCOT fireworks. Higher floor is better.

All of the Boardwalk view rooms have a view of the EPCOT fireworks. The MK fireworks are quite far away , but any Boardwalk view room should be able to see them.

The odds of getting the exact room you want is a real long shot. As Carol suggested ask for an upper floor room. You will still have a good view of the Boardwalk below too. The MK firworks are but a spec on the horizon. It is not something to plan for.

I always request top floor for boardwalk view and have always had an Epcot fireworks view. The only one I had that did not have an MK fireworks view was 5051, which is on the corner of the Village Green. You have the best chance for good fireworks views if you request top floor, far from elevator.

Although as others have said, you are better off requesting a generic room location (far from elevators, top floor). When you check in and get your key, you can verify you got request as follows: your room number will have 4 digits, the first number is the floor (with 5 as the top floor for BW view) and the last two numbers are the room location, with the smallest numbers (01) being the farthest from the elevators. Best of luck-- Suzanne

Not true. The numbers go up as you move away from the elevators. For example, x123 are the standard view corner rooms across from the bus stop and far from the elevators.

The room numbers go down towards the Atlantic Dance Hall which would be the Boardwalk View rooms.

Depends on what view you are talking about. For BW view (which the OP is wondering about) the room numbers get smaller as you get farther down the hall from the elevators. -051 is the closest BW view to the elevators and -001 is the farthest BW view room from the elevators.

DVC Mike is there now, jump on his thread, live at BWV, and ask him. He practically lives there!

Long-term Boardwalk owner here. You want to be on the fifth (or if it ain't available fourth) floor, in villas 5001, 5003 or 5005 (same on fourth, i.e. 4001, 4003 or 4005). The balconies in any of those will give you the best unobstructed view of Illuminations in all of DVC. Nothing beats them, period.
