First I would like to say thank you to everyone on these boards the information here is incredible. I'm sure this question has been posed before but for some reason I am not having any luck with the search feature. :guilty: I am planning a trip to the BWV and I am hoping to get a 1br standard view villa next October. I was wondering if anyone has any favorite locations that I should request. I have never stayed there before so I don't know the layout all that well, however would like to be close to a quiet pool but that isn't a necessity. Thanks everyone! :thumbsup2

If I remember correctly, about half way away from the elevators brings you closer to the quiet pool. You'd use the stair cases instead of walking to the elevators, and it will take you to the quiet pool area.

You can put this request on your reservation. Just tell MS that you want to be close to the quiet pool. They cannot guarantee it, but will try to honor it.

Have a great trip.

If you mean October 2008 and don't already have a reservation, odds of getting a standard view are not in your favor. Standard view units book very fast for Food & Wine Festival time. They are often gone within a few days after the 11 month window opens.

So if you don't already have a SV reservation and still want to stay at the BWV, it's best to plan on a Preferred View - Pool/Garden view. The PV-Boardwalk view units also sell out very quickly. Try to get a reservation before the 7 month window opens. The BWV will completely sell out quite quickly once the 7 month window opens.

If you are thinking about October, 2009 - well good for you for doing your homework so early! :)

For standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. Never been disappointed, you get a great view of the fireworks from Illuminations.

I agree, I booked my SV studio at the 11 month window and was actually nervous I might not get in. October and early December are two times I always book at the 11 month window if I want to stay at BWV. The odds of getting a standard anything at the 7 month window are very slim for F&W. However, I think folks can still snag a BWV reservation at the 7 month windown, just not standard rooms.

I was afraid of that might be a problem. Looks like I'll be using more points than expected  Guess I have to convince the DW to let me add more points! :yay: Don't worry about high jacking lovetotravel that is one of my favorite things on the board you never know what you are going to learn :teacher:

Thanks for your quick responses and your insight everyone.

Is there a special Boardwalk view area to request or are they all the same??

I always request top floor. The views are better and they are less noisy. It's really a crap shoot though - in 5 trips I got floors 5, 2, 4, 3 & 3.

I requested upper floor and got floor 1 next to the Preview Center! :confused3
