BWV Room Category Changes?

This may seem a bit obscure, but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything. For the last several years I've been able to reserve a standard view wheelchair accessible studio with a roll-in shower. This year when I try to reserve that room, the entire category is missing from the drop-down menu. I can only check for availability in garden/pool view studios when I click the accessibility box. This seems strange to me because, even if the room is booked, I should at least be able to check. I did speak with Member Services, who said it's because that room type is already booked. I don't buy it for a few reasons. First of all, the option to check should still be in the drop-down menu. Secondly, I know for certain that those rooms rarely get booked - especially at the 11 month window. There are two rooms at BWV that fit this category - 1070 and 2070. They're both located just behind Leaping Horse Libations. Does anyone know of a change in category, or how to find out for sure if there was one?
 
For other rooms, they are typically shown even if booked. I do not know if there may be a separate rule for accessible rooms and I cannot think of a reason there should be so I would keep calling for an answer. However, be aware that according to RAT (the "Resort Availability Tool"), all standard studios, including specifically the accessible rooms, are shown as filled for Jan 4, 2018, 11 months from today.
 
Behind the pool bar is considered pool/garden, not standard. I thought though that they had to offer handicapped in every category.

I also think the two rooms you list are pool/garden rooms.

You may have been able to reserve standard view and pay standard points in the past before you could directly see your choices online. Then when you called and were put on a priority list for HC room, you got 1070 or 2070. I am not certain I am correct about this.

In any case thanks for reminding me that I have to get online soon to book for next january!!

Interesting. My first stay at BWV I booked a Standard View studio and was assigned 1070. When the front desk CM showed me the room location on the map, I questioned her because I was expecting to be along the front driveway. I was told those rooms are considered Standard View because the view is of the back of Leaping Horse Libations.

I've heard others echo this comment that some of the rooms in that area are Standard View. No idea which ones, so I've never put them on the view map I've used for quite a while.

I book the 2 bedroom H/C with roll in shower standard view each time we go to Disney. Have it again this year starting November 25th. The rooms are standard view and right behind leaping horse libations.
 
Thanks for your feedback, everyone. Yes, the accessible studios and one-bedrooms just behind the pool bar on the first and second floors have always been considered standard view. I've been able to book them as accessible rooms in the past, not just as regular standards that then get converted to accessible. I believe the higher floors are pool/garden view because they are above the sight lines of the bar. Again, it's one thing for the rooms to be booked. But that's not the case here - it's that the entire category of standard accessible studio is not able to be chosen either by me online or by Member Services. I think I do need to pursue this further. Thanks for that email address, Bill!
 
Just wanted to post an update that I did end up emailing Member Satisfaction about this issue and someone called me yesterday (Sunday!) to inquire further. He was able to see the issue on the website booking tool and escalated it to tech folks. He just called me back this morning to say the tech people see that there is indeed a problem and will fix it. Most importantly, it turns out the standard accessible studio *was* available for my dates and he was able to reserve that for me. I'm honestly impressed by how responsive they were!
