I know this is silly, but I'm asking anyway. Is there a place to get Mickey waffles at BWV? We are staying there for the first time in the spring and I'm getting nervous because I can't find a standard CS place that would have them. Anyone??? TIA!

Boardwalk Bakery would be the closest place, since BWV / BWI doesn't have a counter service location other than that. I am not totally sure that they have them there because I never looked.

It seems hard to find Mickey Waffles. :confused3 I don't know of any place around BWV that serves them. I'd love to know what places other than Chef Mickey's and Trail's End Buffet do have them since I never seem to find them anywhere else but maybe haven't looked hard enough.

Gee, I think they are all over. We have gotten them at Captain Cook's (Poly) and recently at POFQ. You can have them at Boma from what I recall - not sure about Mara. I think we've had them at Roaring Forks too (WL).

I don't know - it seems they've had them just about everywhere we've stayed when we looked for them (except the Boardwalk and Beach Club).

OP--Call the Boardwalk Bakery and ask.

Sounds like it might be a dealbreaker for you. I would try not to let it be. You can save the Mickey Waffle tradition for when you stay at other resorts and start a new breakfast tradition at BWV.

But, really, no there is no CS like you may be used to at other resorts. I'm trying to remember if the buffet at the Dolphin had them..... Might be another place to call.

Kouzinna had them on the kids meal yesterday.. Did I spell that right? LOL, I am right here and don't know how to spell it. We had breakfast yesterday and I noticed that the table next to us had a kids meal waffles, and they were Mickey. Surprised me!

LOL - apparently I just don't eat at the correct places!! Although I have at Roaring Forks and do not remember them having the waffles. It's been ages since I ate at POFQ or Riverside. Haven't had breakfast at Capt. Cooks - only Kona Cafe and don't remember them there. Haven't eaten at Boma. Mara though......yes, the might have them there too. Contempo Cafe didn't have them. BC Marketplace didn't but the character breakfast probably would. That might be another place for the OP to check but of course that's not quick service.

Ok, I haven't seen any at BW itself however, I have seen them at Cape May Cafe at the BC and also if you are willing to venture out to MGM/DHS they have them at Hollywood and Vine.

I'm not sure if you are looking for a buffet though so it may not really help you.

When we stay at BWV I get my Mickey waffle fix at the Captain's Grille at YC. It is a TS restaurant however, not a CS. They have them on the breakfast buffet or you can order them off the menu. If they aren't out on the buffet, just ask your server and he/she will bring you some.

Kouzzina, one of the main table service restaurants on the boardwalk open for breakfast and dinner, serves, as noted above, Mickey Waffles as part of its breakfast kids menu daily.

Thanks Everyone. I'm really bummed, but DH will not relent and let us go home to SSR this trip!

And that's okay. You'll find things you like about BWV (location) and things you miss about SSR. But that's part of the fun. Again, skip the waffle tradition--save it for SSR, and find a new one--Boardwalk Bakery has some pretty good stuff.....Beaches and Cream is fun......You're spitting distance from a gran marnier slushie.....You get what I mean.

You can just go get them at the MK one morning at the place that usually sells the funnel cakes in Liberty Square....drawing a blank right now. They serve GIANT mickey waffles :):):)

Sleepy Hollow?

At Boardwalk Bakery, you can get giant Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast. :) You can add a new tradition.
Of course, then you'll have to get them (you can get them to go and nuke them next am) @ MK's Main Street Bakery (or visit BWV) on future trips...

I may have to veer off the normal path for this trip. In 11 years of going to WDW, I've only not had a Mickey waffle for breakfast 3 times..that's 3 mornings total in 11 years!

Maybe they are part of the continental breakfast served in the Bellevue Room. There's probably a good chance you can get them thru room service, too.

DVCDawn :tink:
