I would like to plan a trip for October 10th-17th in 2008. I do not own at BWV so i would only be able to book this at 7 months, SO i wanted to know what the chances of this was? Also I would like TWO standard view studios ( I realize these go fast) but i was just curious. Also do they have SV Studios that are connected, so you can go back and forth between them?? or no. Thanks so much

The problem will be that the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will be on, in combination with the Halloween festivities. The BWV and the BCV tend to fill with members who can book at the 11 month window in October. The Food and Wine Festival is one of the most popular times at EPCOT Resorts. Give it your best shot, but prepare yourself for the waitlist.
But hey, who knows? I saw people posting who got rooms last year.

Thanks so much, Is this time as hard to get at other DVC resorts like the VWL? as it is not next to epcot Thanks

I think that you just may the preferred view studios BWV with/without a waitlist. As far as VWL goes, that should be OK...we were able to move a ressie from the BWV to VWL for the week of Halloween for this year at 7 months out. We own at both VWL and BWV, but didn't have enough to book everything at VWL which is what we wanted. I'm sure we made someone on the waitlist happy, we had had a BW view studio for that time.

JesseDisney,
In addition to the F&W festival, MNSSHP and the weather generally being pretty nice at that time of the year, OCT 13th 2008 is Columbus Day-so your stay also encompasses the Columbus Day weekend.
There is no telling what will happen with the wait list. My advice is always put in for it--you could get lucky. We haven't had very much luck in the past with the wait lists for BWV during F&W, so we did an add on there. (F&W Festival is one of my top 3 favorite times to go to WDW and STD view points at BWV are a real bargin!)
Another thought--since you know so far in advance, maybe you could work out a trade with someone--where they used their BWV points to make your ressie at the 11 month window and you could make a ressie for them using your points at the 11months window...

Buy more points! LOL!

Actually, none of the DVC Resorts have connecting studio rooms. Perhaps a one bedroom would be more suitable for you?

Thanks for all your replies, Yea i think 1 bedroom would be best. I think i am going to have to buy an add on at BWV or BCV lol, cuz i love that area. How hard are they to get through disny, if it is small? Jw

Just call your DVC Guide and tell them you are interested in a small points purchase at whatever resort. They will need to match your UY that you already have.

The problem is (IMHO) that this is the time and the type of accomodations that some members make reservations in order to rent them out. I was on a wait list last year and saw members with that date "available to rent". When I asked them if there was any chance of them returning them to inventory, they said NO! They would rent easily and they rented them every year at that time!! grrr! Still, I'm on a waitlist for BWV (PV) again this year.

One bedrooms are easier to get than the studios. That may help a bit, but the std. view part will still be the hard part.

It seems that BCV and BWV are ones where 'buy where you want to stay' REALLY comes into play.

Good Luck!
