HEading to Disney on Thursday with my whole family...very excited.. Going to fax my request in tomorrow but just wanted to get some last minute advice... We have a 2bedroom and 2 studios.. I am going to request all rooms be on the same floor, close to elevator and boardwalk view.. do you think that I am asking too much.. Should i ask for an upper floor or is that assumed? anything else i should be aware of?

Are you a DVC member or renting DVC points? If so, points rooms are in 3 categories - standard, preferred boardwalk and preferred garden/pool. I would find out which category your rooms are in before you request a view. They do not accept faxes or phone calls from DVC members at the resort, all requests must be through member services. Rooms are assigned at check-in.

If you are booked through CRO, I believe you could be assigned rooms anywhere in the resort, they do not break reservations down into views. I think your main priority would be to get rooms close together, the resort is very spread out. The requests you listed are probably the most popular ones and would be difficult to fill for 3 rooms. I'm not sure if they accept faxes or phone calls for CRO reservations or if they pre-assign rooms. You may want to call and ask before you send a fax so you know where you stand.

If your rooms are booked with DVC points you will have to contact DVC Member Services to give them your requests.

Requests need to be made at the time of booking as Disney is no longer honoring faxed requests. Due to the huge number of faxes they have been receiving room assigners have been told to use only the requests noted on the actual reservation given to them from CRO.

Either call Member services if you are booked with points or CRO if you are paying cash.
