I completely agree with CarolMN---the more things folks find wrong at the BWV, the better my chance of getting my standard view rooms. As for the list, you forgot to add "insects in the dryer" . That alone should guarantee some standard view availability at the 8-month mark.

Don't forget the room service trays lining the hallway or the slobs and trashy guests that stay at this resort. The words "slobs & trashy people" or something very similar along those lines, was posted about a year ago by someone here on the DIS. Gee, can anyone guess who that might be???????????

Hmmmmm. I think I will add bedbugs to the list of reasons why BWV is not a good place to stay. I can bring it up again right before I need to make my next "hard to get" standard view or Boardwalk view reservation and thereby decrease the competiton.

Ok. Let's review the list.

Bedbugs.
Exeptionally looooooooooong hallways.
Looong walks to parking.
Scary Clown slide.
Noisy.
Bad views if you don't get Boardwalk view.
Teeeny, tiny rooms.
Bad housekeeping.
Self - Parking lots always full.
Nasty, rude CMs
Long waits for the bus. Crowded buses. Poor bus service.

YEP! Good one! How could anyone forget the room servcice trash and garbage in the hallways!

I kind of recall the "trailer park trash" discussion, but isn't that the exclusive property of the VWL? You remember, that's the place that people hang their laundry from the balconies.

It probably isn't fair to the VWL owners to claim that one. We BWV owners do have some standards!!!!

I think we need a correction to the list.
Not only are BWV rooms teeny, tiny they are also "useless". LOL!!
We certainly can not forget how you can: sit on a BWV balcony, clean the villa with 1 paper towel and get a beer out of the refrigerator--all at the same time! Or some other such nonsense was posted along these lines, but the general meaning was you can definitely multi task in the teeny, tiny, useless, BWVs. That is you can multi task in your useless villa, after you have walked your 1/3 marathon, dodged the trash and litter in the long hallways, avoided the slobs and trashy guests and had the daylights scared out of you by viewing the evil and sinister clown slide.

Yep, I had a 225 lb bed bug in my room 2 weeks ago.


Oh, and the lizard-it was in the dryer, not the washer. And it didn't jump out, it was actually hiding in the lint trap till I tried to clean it out. Still have no idea where he disappeared to.

And those long hallways -twice we've had the next to the last room. Great location, less noise, but certainly a trade off for the long walk.

And the trays in the hallways. I'm a very detail oriented person and someone had trays across the hall from us that I would have accused of being there 24/7 except for the fact that I would notice even subtle changes each time we went by to know they just kept ordering room service every meal. They were not the same trays just a different meal. Hey, more power to them. I'm just glad the bill wasn't mine.

Did not see and trash outside any doors except what the maids set out as they were cleaning.
