While getting my hair cut today, the lady next to me was talking about a friend's wedding. She said that the bride and groom stayed in a cottage that had basically 1-1/2 stories... the living areas below and a loft with the bedroom. She said they were idyllic looking, complete with a picket fence. I admit, as many times as we've been to Boardwalk, we've never really explored. We've been so busy at the parks or just enjoying our room. We've always been there in fall or winter (this May will be our first springtime BWV trip!), so we haven't even explored the pool areas. Is anyone familiar with the cottages she described? How do you book them? They sound lovely!!!

There is no river. If you want to see them from the outside, go over to the Boardwalk Inn side, go all the way out, past the Belle Vue room, out the double doors, down the stairs, and the cottages are on the left overlooking the quiet pool and rose garden.

They are beautiful but very inconvenient and no great view for the price. They come with concierge service which is inside on the 4th floor so to access the lounge you have to come outside, walk over to the main building, up the stairs, up the elevator to the lounge.

Also not convenient if it is pouring rain.

They would be very nice if you were never leaving your room and had room service, ;)

Ahhh, so honeymoon cottages!

Thanks for the info, everyone. That helps me visualize where they are. They don't sound ideal for us.

Isn't there some king or prince that stays in them (with his entourage) every year? Morocco?

The garden out by them is a lovely spot for a stroll though - well worth a few minutes when staying at the BWVs when the weather is nice and you aren't busy with the parks. I try and take a walk out there every trip.
