BWV at NYE? 7 month question

What are the chances of getting a studio from Dec 27th-Jan 2nd over New Years at the 7 month window? We currently have AKV Concierge studio and I would be willing to switch only to BW or BC. Are my chances slim to none?

I think you would have to be pretty lucky. I wonder if you could post on the rent/trade board and see if someone might want to trade reservations? I'm not sure how the rules work on the rent/trade board for this type of trade, but it would be worth checking. AKV concierge is a good trade to offer.

Does DVC compare waitlist requests to make matches? I feel like it would be likely that a BWV or BCV owner would waitlist for an AKV concierge studio so then the waitlists could just be swapped, so to speak, to make a match. I don't know if I'm making sense.

Unfortunately the software does not look for matches to swap. I'm sure that at any given time there are a lot of possible swaps but they don't happen on their own. That is why I suggested looking for a match on the rent/trade board.

Waitlists don't work like that, unfortunately in this case.

I'll bet there's a waitlist now for NYE at the BWV...a trade would be your best option, I think.

I called at the 11 month window for a BWV studio. I'm waitlisted for Dec. 30 till Jan. 3. And yes, this was at the 11 month window to the day.
