Yup, I know - F&W. Just curious if anyone has any actual experience they can relate as to how likely it is to get either a studio and one bedroom or just one two bedroom. I know it will be difficult and likely result in a waitlist. But are the chances of it coming through slim and none, 50/50, 70/30, etc. Just trying to have all possible options set in my mind when I call. I'm guessing the studio will be tough so would the the 2 bedroom be less so? We're traveling with other DVC friends and don't mind sharing a room if that's what we're able to get. And I know the view will obviously be preferred/pool, not boardwalk or standard. Oh, and we're currently booked at AKV and it won't be the end of the world if we end up there. Thanks for any advice!

If you call morning of, I think your chances are better than 50-50 of getting a preferred view either studio or two bedroom. If you call a week late, I doubt the waitlist will come through for you.

Call exactly at 7 months when MS opens, I think you will be fine.

I agree that the trick to getting something is to call right at the 7 month mark.

At BWV all 2BR are lock offs which is a 1BR plus studio. So if a studio is tough to get a 2BR will be the same.

I hadn't realized there were no dedicated two bedrooms at BWV. Maybe we'll have to get our friends to ante up for a one bedroom so we'd be looking for two of those vs. a studio or two bedroom. Either way we'll be sure to call right at 7 months.

If your intension is for food and wine and your dates are flexible, then check out the end of Sept which in most cases also includes food and wine. DW and I did it in 2008 and had no problem booking BWV at the 7 month window.

Most people think of Oct/Nov for food and wine, but sometimes you really have to check out the dates.

I think your chances are better than in the past. With new resorts opening, people may want to try them.
