BWV 1BD Boardwalk View Room Request?

Staying 1/12-17 in 1BD boardwalk view (first time) and was wondering if there is any reason for special requests other than high floor for less noise? I'm running the marathon on 1/13 and thought my DD (7) would enjoy watching the fast runners go by much earlier than daddy, so maybe a lower floor is better for that? Again, our first time staying in boardwalk view so appreciate any advice on room requests or anything else we need to know. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I always request top floor, usually end up with 3 or 4. Most of the 1 bedrooms are on the far end above Big River or Crest O' the Wave. There are a couple above the store. There are also some on the corner of the Village Green, that would not be good to see the runners.

Be aware the runners do not go down the boardwalk. They run past YC and BC across the bay and thus you can see them from a boardwalk view room only in the distance and you need to be higher not lower.

Do not request lower floor. Better request is higher floor. The rooms you want to avoid are the first floor rooms, only a couple there, because those are at boardwalk level and with curtains open, everyone on the boardwalk can see right in.

Thank you! Seems like everything I read just says to request as high a floor as possible...of course, everyone also says BWV has never honored their requests, so guess we'll see what happens!

Thank you! We'd reviewed the course map, but guess we're not familiar enough with the resort locations to distinguish between BC/YC and BW...we actually thought the race went by all three. Sounds like we'll request as high a floor as possible and see what happens!
