BWPPI ?'s

So, I'm booked at the Park Place Inn June 13-18, first trip ever. I just have a couple questions that are bugging me, so if anyone can help, that'd be great.

1. I've seen in past reviews that their WiFi only worked in rooms close to the lobby. Is it still like that, or better now? It's not too important; if I need to get online that bad, I can always take my laptop to the lobby.

2. How far ahead should/can I call the hotel to confirm my ressie? I booked through GAT, if that makes a difference. When I confirm, I also want to request a room with 2 beds rather than 1 king, and a room on the second or third floor.

3. When looking at the street view map of the area, I see that you can exit the hotel lot to go south on Harbor at the intersection. Is it pretty much impossible, as you would have to yield to people in the main crosswalk heading to and from DLR? Should I just count on heading north first, then do a u-turn if I need to go south?

I have stayed at the BWPPI several times, and it is still my favorite hotel.

1. The WiFi is decent, sometimes it can be bad or have great signal. It should be fine which room you stay in, but it is better to have it close to the lobby.

2. You can reserve it in a year advance. I just booked a room on the BW website a few days ago. I like to reserve it on the website so I can choose the room type I want and you can put in a request to change the room type by paying the difference and floor selection.

3. You can make a left turn heading south on Harbor when you are heading out of the hotel. It will take awhile with all the people walking at the crosswalk.

You could call BWPPI anytime and ask for specific room request. They will do the best they can.
