Its 7:30 AM here in the room at BWI. Amy from the Platiinum office has been great. Everything planned with her in advance of our arrival to surprise the DW for her birthday has been outstanding.
Day 1 -
The first days report summarizes into a few choice words: SunBlock, LaNouba, Taxi's, Fun OMG you must order a plate of the tuxedo'd strawberries and have them delivered to your room.

Character Breafast at Cape May, was nice. Many characters rotated through, plus Minnie was signing auto's.
I picked up a Panasonic D-Snap camera ahead of the trip, and its a must get if you're able.

MGM - lines were a bit long, but considering peak time, not bad.
Prime Time Cafe gets 2 thumbs up to the rght, to the left, to the right, and to the left. Great comfort food in a pleasing experience. Worth the PS. Went on Rockin' Roller Coaster and taped it. While the ride is very dark, the audio and occassonal sign passing by is worth 2 min. of near black screen.

Fulton Crab House - scrumptous. Wow, what food (didn't care for the seafood bisque (I'm used to the New England Version - plu not enough seafood in it.)) Server Amy was great.
Went to Paradise Island and watched Fifth Year Crush, great band. I must pick up their CD (80's-90's pop/rock band with some original music that's excellent.)
Got our group picture taken while we were there. $48.00 for 5 5x7's, expensive, but the recorded antics are priceless.
Then La Nouba - WHAT AN EXPERIENCE. It's a MUST DO when you're down here.

Rooms at BWI are a bit larger than other resorts we've been to, plus the balcony is huge (9x12)!
Finally Taxi's - They fit 5 with a squeeze, basically $5-$9 to almost anywhere and are readily available. From my view point, it will add up to about $60 for the entire trip in total, but we're where we need to be when we need it, in 10 minutes. No fuss no bus no lines and transfers.
Did I say La Nouba!?

Day 2 -

Today to Cinderella's b'fast table and Space Mountain.

Taxi's - This is undoubtedly the best form of transportation for any guest here (BWI) that wishes to visit parks other than Epcot and MGM. True it's more money, but someone needs to support the Mears oligarchy. Every driver has been nice and english speaking. The bell service here usually can get a cab to the rotunda within 2-3 minutes. Bus transportation is basically non-existant to BWI. I say basically, because for those who don't mind waiting for a couple hours, the bus system is wonderful. There doesn't seem to be any direct access from or to BWI by any bus. Typhoon Lagoon was the indicator. The signs and the CS at TL all stated where to stand (bus stand 2) to catch a bus back to BWI. The only problem (we did the surfing lessons which occur early AM - 10 AM opening - very worthwhile). After 20 minutes of sitting and watching every other destination bus pass us by, a nice downtown disney driver passed us then STOPPED (how nice was this) got out and asked us where we were going. Once told he said, "oh, those buses don't run until after 'noon'. So, off to DTD to wait for a bus that actually, sort of, goes to BWI (sort of being operative because we found they won't stop unless asked). I'm complaining a bit and it seems in retrospect less of a problem than described in my words. You try. Anyway, someone has probably come up with a spreadhseet of times for all forms of transportation to BWI (and the rest of the resorts). As an example, I left my wife at Guest Services outside Epcot for the Aqua Tour, I said why not and tried the bus system from the front (no bus direct to BWI from Epcot) So, it was off to MGM a Boat back to BWI. The total time was 1 hour, a walk back would have been better and shorter, but my feet hurt. Nuff bout buses and taxi's.
Cindarella's Bkfast. Good/decent food, lots of characters, great photo ops.
Space Mountain, always a fun tour. Walk thru town and stop at City Hall for some mickey cash.
Then a break and snooze time. Evening brought a fireworks cruise. Nice russian girl capt'. Only here 10 months and speaks english like a champ. Cruise is funny on those pontoon boats. They zip you around for 1/2 hour then stage themselves (12 boats in total from all resorts) out front of MK and cycle back and forth into the wind, and drift from west to east. Once the last explosions go off its a race to see the electric light tour on the water off poly. If your capt./guide is good, then you get to see it, if they're cold or want to go home, then its back to your resort lickety split. (Oh, take the cookies (you get water, iced tea, soft drinks and cookies) as part of the package) they may 'forget' to tell you about them until the end. They're scrumptious.)

Day 3 -
Behind The Magic Tour - Take it. Just hope for a guide that's got a personality. Wonderful, plus you get a mirror image pin. Factually wonderful. They also provide a mid-day meal at Mama Melrose around noon. The biggest kick we got was walking through the disney florist shop (www.disneyflorist.com). Who knew about these wonderful people. They'll make any type of floral or basket arrangement for you that you can think of. Just fantastic people running that shop and the workers are truly special people. We saw a completed custom basket ($100+) called Mickey and Friends" that would be any childs to die for gift. Call them and special order that basket. It's huge ( bout 20" wide and 16" tall, arc'd up the sides with every disney character plushy out there plus a few ceramic friend compilation figures inside. WOW.) They aim to please, for a price, but are very nice people who strive to get it right. You can have anything made up, from flower arrangments to baskets to trinkets. To sum the trip up we saw - Epcot and the personnel station, the back stage of the great american experience, costuming (they're beginning to do away with this dept. in drips and drabs due to 'zooming'. Then it was off to MGM. We viewed the costume creation shop and seamstresses, lunch, back on the bus to the Laundry facility (woohoo, watch a bunch of vats cleaning sheets for 5 minutes, back on the bus, then off to MK. Watched the street parade and walked a bit of the tunnel system. Then back to Epcot for the finish Got the pin. I give it a 6 out of 10.
Then it was...gulp....Victoria and Alberts - Chef's Table. Only words to describe it....OH......MY......GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Wild Boar, Caviar, Kobe Steak, black Bass, coffee to die for, and the desserts.......can't put in words. The chef's were spectacular, wonderful, the best (get the picture?). Spend the $20PP additional and do it. Kick, steal, cheat, sell a loved one, do whatever it takes to put this on your list. Hands down the best experience for a meal. Dress up for it, enjoy it in the way its presented, very formal. Ask the chef for his suggestions for a wine with each dish (I got tipsy, but what a pleasure). Each of the line chef's come by and are genuinely concerned about your opinion of the meals they create. Just experience this as part of your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 4 -
updating daily - more 2/26

Sounds like a great trip so far - have fun the rest of your stay!
