Help!!
We're down to the BWI conceirge, BWV 1 br or BCV 1br. Too many choices. Here are my concerns that I hope you can help with:
BWI- don't like the idea of the conceirge floor being on the 4th or 5th floor... have monkey's for children

BWV- can you request a ground floor or 2nd floor with a boardwalk view?

BCV- are they relatively the same as the BWV's??

We are Poly people and have never even visted the Boardwalk area but like the idea of being so close to Epcot and MGM.

Kids are 3 & 5.... Help!

ps.... also, conceirge has always made Cindy's reservations, dont know if I can handle the stress ;)

Thanks for any and all input!!

I am a Disney Vacation Club owner so I am a little biased, but if you are looking at one of the one bedrooms at either BWV or BCV, you will love them. The rooms at BWI are very nice but are just a basic room. The 1 bdrs are like a 1 bdr apartment. They have a full kitchen, with all the appliances, dishes, silverware, etc. There is a washer and dryer and best of all, the jacuzzi tub. There are balconies off both the master bedroom and living rooms at both places. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. You can request a BW view but I am not sure how it works when paying cash. When we reserve at the BWV, we have to use more points as it is considered a preferred view and then are still not guaranteed that view. A view of the Luna Park pool is also considered preferred. On our visit last year we did request and get a Boardwalk view and were on the 5th floor fight above the Thimbles and Threads store. It was great! We actually have recently added on points at the BCV but haven't stayed there yet. You might want to go to the DVC board here and you might get more information. If you want to see pictures of the rooms, I would either go to the DVC website or to www.wdwig.com and both have some good photos of the 1 bdrs.

I don't know if this will help, but the balconies at the BCV are very safe. They are high, and have very little space between the slats. The sliding doors also have 2 locks. I was very nervous with our Poly balcony because it seemed like the bars were really far apart.

The Beach club villas are a very short walk to epcot, closer than walking to the boat to epcot! Some of the rooms have a view of Epcot & the Illuminations fireworks. Your kids would probably enjoy the pool there as well. You can walk to the boardwalk or take a boat.

Tough choice, but they all sound great!

A BWI concierge room is about 425 sg. ft. A BWV or BCV 1BR is about 720. Obviously if you must have concierge service you would need to do the BWI room. If alternatively, you want much more space and have a kitchen and w/d then the 1BR is the choice. On the boardwalk, the BWV rooms are on floors 2 to 5 (no ground levels as shops are there and floor 2 is the smoking floor). Everywhere else at the resort you can get a ground level room. Overall the BCV units are substantially similar to the BWV units but with different themes in the decor and I believe most if not all of the BCV 1BR's have only one balcony off the living room while BWV has one off the living room and bedroom (ground floor units have patios). One factor to consider is when you are going. Right now BWV has outside work going on which puts scaffolding up in front of some of the boardwalk rooms and about half overlooking the main pool (the rooms where the outside is being worked on are not occupied). That will likely continue until March of next year (and then they will be working on some other parts of the resort thereafter); the similar work at the BWI side was completed earlier this year; BCV will have no renovations going on for quite some time as it is new.

Thank you so much for all the insight. I think we'll try the BWV's this trip and then maybe the BCV next time.
I knew you guys would be able to help!
Thanks again!
