BWI / BWV construction, what's up

What is the construction about at BW? Not sure if it is the villa or hotel side. Just a freshing up?

The siding covering the outside of the building turned out to be defective, it started fading and rotting, which shouldn't have started happening in a building only built in 1996. The contractor is paying to replace it. It's been a long term project. Someone posted that they talked to the BW Manager and they hope to be done by August or September.

Is this at the Inn or Villa side or both?

As of January 5-9, the construction was on the Villas side of the Boardwalk. The facades overlooking the canal to MGM, the active pool, and the tennis courts were behind netting.

BWI side was finished last year. BWV side will likely continue to September. Luna Pool and boardwalk (for both part is being worked on now) are supposed to be finished in the next two months. Other areas currently being worked on should be finished by early summer. Rooms where work has not even started yet but will soon are the ones in the front of the building overlooking the arrival area and the road leading to it.

Oh no! Does this mean that the views will be affected?

The rooms where the work is being done are closed. It does limit the number of rooms for each view type.

When I saw this thread I was very concerned because I am going on Feb. 14th and staying at the Broadwalk Inn so I called and was told...

THEIR ALL DONE! They finished last year - yeah baby!
