So I will be in so cal for business in early August and was looking to book this hotel. Showing no availability for our dates, which I thought was odd 4+ months out. So I tried random dates in July, later in August, November, and December. Still no availability. Some rooms popped up in January 2017 when I tried that.

Is this place really sold out, or could it be some kind of glitch? Never stayed there before.

We always stay there. I just checked and didn't get anything for early August either but there's still availability for my dates at the end of August. I know it can sell out fast so I always book as soon as I know when I'm going. I'd keep checking though, you never know if something will open up. Good luck!

The BWPPI website is like that lately where you barely see any availability on certain dates. It can be sold out but there will be times when people cancel around the last second. I would call them directly and ask if there are any rooms available on your dates. I have done that in the past and was able to get a room at BWPPI at the last second.

BWPPI is the closest non-Disney hotel to the DLR which is right next to the crosswalk. They have good selection of room types from 1 king and sofa bed, 2 double beds or 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. You have the free continental breakfast on the upper level of Captain Kidd's restaurant. The pool is not big but parking can be an issue which there is limited spots. You can never beat the location for a non-Disney hotel.

Desert Inn is right next door, and I liked it very much. I got a $99 a night rate for September.

Not sure where you were looking but I went to the hotel website and I am seeing lots of available nights. Then I tried again and I saw nothing. Maybe best to give them a call as it looks like the website is having problems.

I think this is a product of people reserving several hotels and then cancelling at the last minute when they finally make up their minds where they want to stay. It doesn't cost them anything so that's what they do.
Pretty soon this will ruin things for all of us.

Definitely call or email. I have had great luck with them and the Tropicana- they always are able to accommodate me, even though online it says sold out.
