Monday was suppose to be our AK day but the friends who we had dinner last night with wanted to stop over on their way out and check out the villa. We really like getting to AK as early as possible so we switched our days around and went to MGM instead. We went to Rock in Roll first. DD was really excited about being tall enough this trip to try it. They checked her height at least 3 times! The ride was great and everyone enjoyed it. While we rode the coaster, the rest of the group got fastpasses for TOT. I passed on this since the boys were getting tired of waiting around. My dad, sister, DH, and DD used the fastpass. DD did not really like this one as much but I think she was glad to have tried it. We all met up at the big mickey hat.
We walked right on the backstage tour ride. This ride dumped us out at a popcorn & pretzel place so we had a snack. Next, we went on the Muppet 3D movie. We were coming back for Fantasmic dinner package so we went back to the room for a swim.
The kids swam around the pool for a while and then it was back to MGM to the Brown Derby. We waited a long time to be seated. We were really concerned that we would not get out of the rest. in time. One thing we learned was that EVERYONE must have an entree to get the tickets. We usually order one kids meal for our 3 1/2 year old twins to share. This was not allowed. We had to order a meal for each child! They gave us two free desserts that were really good because of the mix-up.
Fantasmic was really fun we enjoyed the show. I would not have waited hours before for it but we are glad we saw it. The boys were a little scared of all the villians but we kept telling them that Mickey took care of all the bad guys. The whole way back to the BW they kept telling us how the Mickey got rid of the bad guys! My DD liked that her 100 years pin lite up at the very end of the show.
Back at the bw my DD got her wrapped with the thread and we watched some of the performers. Some of the acts are really great! How does the card guy do those tricks????
