BW Bakery and Luna park closed during our stay in Feb...

We will be going to WDW during President's week. I have read that SAB will be open during the refurbishment of Luna Park as well as the quiet pools. Have you heard anything about a replacement for the Boardwalk Bakery? I see there will be a coffee cart open.... I assume some pastries and such will be available. What about the sandwiches that you could get at the bakery? We will REALLY miss the bakery! I know we can hike it over to Hurricane Hannas but it is a little far...Anyone heard any news about this??

According to a CM I spoke with recently, the front of the bakery is being expanded. To accomplish this, the equipment is being moved to the rear of the building.

Be sure to check out the Bell Vue Lounge (2nd floor on the BWI side, not far from the lobby) while you are there. My guess is that its hours and food offerings will be expanded while the bakery is unavailable.

Another option (but also a bit of a hike) is the Picabu restaurant / cafeteria over in the Dolphin. It also has quite a few "to-go" items (as well as a grill for made-to-order things) and we've found their entrees quite large, especially the salads. Even when we share, we get more than one meal from those, lol. The best part is that DVC members get a 20% discount - bring along your membership card as they will definitely want to see it.
