Buzz’s soccer question of the week. Have my soccer threads made you more, less, or indifferent/no change of a soccer fan?
Hopefully a positive one.If you ask a soccer question each week, yes it probably will have an affect on me.![]()
I have soccer friends, so it’s all good. I have many other interests as well, which is why I enjoy the Dis.Maybe find a soccer group that shares your passion?
Not meaning for you to leave the DIS. Just that I'm not sure people share your love of the sport here.
Who knows, they may play for USL Sacramento Republic one day…We have had some interesting discussions on the business aspect of soccer. I haven't been to a game or watched one since my daughter stopped playing in 2005. If my Granddaughters play, I may see a few more games, but at 1 and 3 they are still too young.
But I live in an area where soccer has been huge, and where successful teams have gotten hosed by the leagues they were affiliated with, or currently, by MLS's crazy franchise fees.
I appreciate it.Hovered between less and indifferent - so I gave it an indifferent because you're Buzz!
All good. If you do find an interest in the sport, I would love to hear about it in the future.Sadly, friend, still indifferent.
The Concacaf Gold Cup in June/July might have a contest to win tickets in the future (I have no inside knowledge, this is only a guess). The only way I would ever willingly go to a soccer match or watch a game on TV is if you paid me, sorry to say. I still find the sport to be really boring.
Generally the problem: "Concacaf" - its not really selling the product here ...The Concacaf Gold Cup in June/July might have a contest to win tickets in the future (I have no inside knowledge, this is only a guess).
In North America, we just call it the Gold Cup or Copa Oro.Generally the problem: "Concacaf" - its not really selling the product here ...
Your team?Always been a fan, chiefly in the British Premier League. Amazing game, so full of passion and skill!
So that's mildly better - looked up Copa Oro - does that count? (spoiler: wasn't helpful)In North America, we just call it the Gold Cup or Copa Oro.
