:confused3 Going to Disney in April for 2 nites 3 days. Was originally going to buy a 3 day hopper. But... begain thinking about buying a longer ticket with no expiration for future visits (even as much as up to a 10 day hopper with no expiry). Since my brother lives in FL I hope to be making trips much more often. Does this make sense to pop for the extra $160 apiece and have later visits "paid" for.

If you can afford the cash outlay now, the answer is a definite yes! You will lock in the extra 7 days for about $22.85 per park day. And remember that ticket prices aren't likely to go down in the future. ;)

Absolutely, especially if you can afford the extra cash at this point. We're doing the same thing!!
:cool1:

Definitely YES! I did the same thing. We are going 7/2 - 7/12 but the first 4 nights we are staying at Universal and the remainder will be at Disney Swan. I purchased the 10 day park hopper with no expiration through Ticketmania. 1 Adult 1 Child $639- with shipping included. When I received the tickets the package included coupons & 6 books on Disney & Universal. I also, purchased 2 Cirque tickets ($115) & 2 Disney Quest tickets ($40). That's 1 Adult & 1 Child of each. Pretty good deals!

For non-expiration, try to avoid the 5 day, the 8 day, and the 9 day passes. The 10 day and 7 day are preferred. You can add more days too (up to ten including the days already consumed) to get from a "bad" number to a "good" number.

If you add days to a pass...
The 3'rd non-expiring day costs $55. (gate prices incl. tax)
The 4'th non-expiring day costs $20.
The 5'th non-expiring day costs $30.
The 6'th non-expiring day costs $14.
The 7'th non-expiring day costs $14.
The 8'th non-expiring day costs $51.
The 9'th non-expiring day costs $4.
The 10'th non-expiring day costs $4.

They aren't as good of a value. The difference in price for the few extra days makes sense. We have always tried to have a few extra days' worth of tickets...it works as insurance for future trips, "But honey, we already have park tickets leftover from last year, so the trip won't cost that much " ;)

mickeyluv'r... exactly what I was thinking, especially the part about "honey we already have tix so it won't cost us that much"
