Buying tickets online with Visa redemption card & gift cards

I have saved up a lot of Visa rewards, thanks to taking some time off from Disney. I have almost enough to purchase our park tickets. I am old-fashioned and like purchasing things in person, but I want my Magic Morning, so I will purchase online. I would call Disney and ask my questions, but the last time I called I was on hold for twenty minutes while they confirmed that I could use Visa rewards from a redemption card to buy park tickets by phone. :headache:

Can anyone tell me from experience -- when I order online, will I be able to see how much is coming off of my redemption card toward the purchase? If I have a gift card and use that for the rest of the purchase, can I designate how much should come from the gift card and how much from the redemption card? Can I use a third method of payment, i.e. a credit card, and see how much is being charged to the card?

Also, I know that if I forget my e-tickets and can't access my email, I can show the credit card I used and get the tickets reprinted, but what if my method of payment was entirely a redemption card and/or gift cards? Can I just show the credit card linked to the redemption card?

You can only use two methods of payment. At least that is how it was in December when I bought tickets online for WDW. I had to specify the amount I wanted it to take off the rewards card, and the amount from the gift card. I was unable to put in a redemption card, gift card, AND use my visa, so I had to buy our third ticket separately.

Print out your e-tickets and take a screenshot on your phone of the barcode. That way you'll have 2 backups if you can't access your email.

Thank you for the idea. Unfortunately, I don't have a smartphone. I did say I was old-fashioned. :) I assume I can also forward the email with the attachment to my alternate email account, the one that doesn't lock me out when I travel. It's still more forms of back-up than the old days of card tickets being sent in the mail.

Does anyone you're traveling with have an iPod Touch or iPad? I'd rely on the printouts, but any phone that can display the email should also do a screenshot. What good is the email going to do if you can't display the bar code?

You could also use the Visa card (just like the regular Visa prepaid debits, right?) to buy more Disney GC, and then combine all the GC into one up to $1000.
