Buying tickets - app vs website

Hey folks,

sorry for the DLR newbie question. I'm about to order tickets for an upcoming family trip to DLR (my first in at least 5-6 years) and I was hoping to get some advice from the experienced folks here.

is there any advantages to buying tickets for my family on the Disneyland website and having them physically mailed to me

buying the tickets On the Disneyland mobile app?

I’m reading conflicting information out on the Internet and was hoping to narrow down what the best option is. TIA!!!

You can purchase them online through the Disneyland website and have the tickets emailed to you electronically. Or you can buy them on the mobile app. Or you can opt for paper tickets to be physically mailed to you. I always end up choosing the email option because I receive the email within an hour or two.

Then when you get to the parks, you either show them the barcode in the email from your phone or you can print out the confirmation email with the barcode at home and bring that printout with you and have the CM scan it at the gate. Then the CM will print out a ticket for you on card stock paper...that'll be your ticket for the rest of your trip.

Just for the general information, there's cheaper options for tickets that are Disney-authorized ticket vendors that can save you some $$.

Buying through the app shortens the expiration to one year, tickets purchased online typically have a longer expiration, if that matters to you. I agree with the pp, look into 3rd party discount tickets.
