Buying Spirit, Frontier airline tickets at the airport?

In previous years I would go to the airport and purchase my tickets for Frontier or Spirit and not have to pay the carrier usage fee. Does anyone know if that is still a thing and if they are allowing you to buy future tickets at the airport with Covid?

I'm not certain, but I know for the smaller airport that we often fly out of, the desk isn't always open. It's based on the flights coming in and out. So you'd need to call to make sure they are there at the time you plan to stop by.

But fwiw, the flights we've been booking with Frontier since May/June have been so cheap I don't think it would be worth the hassle of driving to the airport.

sorry for the necro post, but they still do charge the passenger usage fee, and at least where I fly out of, it's like $23 each way. Make sure the fare you're looking to buy online doesn't have any special deals attached to it, and you will save $46 buying that at the airport
