To save money do you buy your sweatshirts on-line, in the store or do you buy them AT Disney.

I'm trying to save money whereever I can :) Thanks for the input.

I was just at my local Disney store. Lots of clothes on sale. Regular character sweatshirts (kids) on sale 50% off. They had lots!

Some fleece sweatshirts with Stitch and Buzz, they were 75% off. But just a few, and mostly larger kids sizes.

All sorts of other clothing on sale too, but I was with a typical 7 year old boy, who had reached the end of his shopping rope.

I buy them at the Disney Store, on sale, or anywhere else I can get them for a good price. The only reason I would buy one at WDW is that it says WDW on it, not just a picture of a character.

That being said, I have been very successful finding WDW sweatshirts and T-shirts at Thrift Stores and even have found some at Garage Sales.

I too saw the sweatshirts on sale at TDS for 50% off. Wish I had the extra $$ to buy one for DH.

For our trip last summer, I was able to get my dd 8 Disney t-shirts at the Disney store before our trip. They cost me $5 each!!! By the time we got to "WDW she had no interest in getting any more. Maybe I should get myself to the DS now.

yea ..the sale is now..and all the t shirts are 5.99 when you buy more than 2 and they have a huge selection...lots of clothes marked down...lots and lots......go ..run...shop shop shop....ok ok...i am calm now....

We were at Disney in November and I had researched about the Disney outlets. There were 6 adults and we bought t-shirts for less than 10.00 each....we all wore them at MK and got so many compliments on them...or course we all matched! It was a great deal and nobody else had the same shirt. They are officially Disney merchandise too and worth the few minutes getting there!

I've done lots of ordering from the Disney Store online too. Not only did I find seriously marked down sweatshirts and/or t-shirts for everybody, I found some sharply discounted toys that I'm going to take with us to introduce there as an at least in part souvenir solution (an idea I got from somebody on the boards some time back!).

Buzz Lightyear transformer-type figures/vehicles for $7-something each (1/2 off) and some 12-inch stuffed animals (Mickey, Pooh, Eeyore) for $4.50 each (orig. priced for $20). They have the winter sweater theme but we're going in less than two weeks so it suits! Good shipping deals too, and fast delivery.

We just went to Disney Store in the mall and paid $9.99 each for sweatshirts that were originally $39.50!! Also we got a couple of T-shirts for cheap. $112 worth of merchandise for $45!! They were having a 50-75% off sale.

I went to Disneystore.com and ordered a couple more sweatshirts (because the store was low on sizes I needed) and the same sweatshirts online were $12.99 (still not a bad deal) but I also had to pay $6.95 for S & H.

I'd check out your locl Disney Store 1st.

Happy shopping!!

I no longer have a local DS. I buy stuff online if it is really cheap but for the most part I always go to the Disney outlets (the three that I know about) before I buy anything at the park.

I go fairly often. Sometimes when I see something I kind of like at the park I will wait and often can buy it at the outlet. Now if it was something I just HAD to have I wouldn't gamble on its being in the outlet store later.

I hae never heard of a Disney Outlet. I guess we don't have any on the west coast. Does anyone know of any out here?

I don't know if there are any outlets in Southern CA - there were none in No. CA where I lived.

In Orlando I know of three outlets:

Character Warehouse - Beltz Outlets
Premier Character Warehouse - Beltz Outlets

I may have those names off a little - they do not have Disney in the name but are run by Disney. One is in one building and the other is in a second building. If I give you the building numbers I will do it wrong.

The third one is at Premier Outlets which is closest to Disney.
You can see the shopping center from the interstate and it is on
Vineland Road.

As at any outlet the merchandise varies. Sometimes there's nothing. On my last trip I got a FABULOUS all leather varsity jacket celebrating Mickey's 75th anniversary. It was half price. It was the only one in the store. There's nothing wrong with it so I don't know why it was there. It is obviously new merchandise not last year's.

Happy shopping to all.

We are going to Disney next month and I was wondering, is one of the outlet stores better than the other or should I go to all of them and see what's in stock?

I seem to find more at the ones at Beltz outlets. If you go to one you might as well check the other too since it is just next door.

The one on Vineland seems to be the smallest and have the least amount of stuff - I think it gets picked over quicker since it is so much closer to the parks.

Of course I usually go to all three!

I agree that the Belz outlet has more merchandise. You really need to check this out before you purchase any items in the parks. It is remarkable how much I was able to purchase for such great prices. For example, I bought "princess type" dresses for my 2 neighbors at 6.99 each, sweatshirts for 9.99, a light up buzz lightyear toy for 12.99 (the tag read 39.99). All of the clothing had the Walt Disney World tags. It is definately worth the trip to the outlets - you won't be sorry!!
