Buying resort merchandise even though you're not staying there

Would you buy resort specific merchandise even if you're not staying at that particular resort? For example, I saw a cute Poly tee I'd like to get but I'm not staying there (I'd like to on a future trip).

You can purchase anything you want at any resort or store at the parks.

They want you to spend money.....

That's pretty much a personal choice. No, I don't. I always buy resort specific merchandise because it's a nice memento of our trip and where we stayed.

But if you saw something you liked at a different resort, and you like it, why not. Nothing saying you can't.

I've only bought stuff from where we've stayed as it makes a great memory knowing that I purchased the item I'm wearing at the resort. However if I found something that I liked at another resort, I would never hesitate to buy it. Nobody would know whether you actually stayed there or not.

Absolutely. when the Disney outlets in Orlando were selling marked-down resort specific merchandise years ago I owned tee shirts for several resorts I hadn't stayed at yet. My DVC home resort is the Beach Club but I own a Boardwalk tee shirt I got at the outlet years ago for 10 bucks, don't see any reason not to wear it.

We collect resort-specific polo shirts and shot glasses. At first it was only at the resorts we were staying at. Then, resort-specific merchandise started to become scarce. So now I buy them whenever I find them.

go visit the resorts to see the stuff each one has on sale. you have to ask the CM in the gift shop what is on sale.

also visit the outlets stores!!!

We wont be staying at AOA but I plan to go there and get at least a pin. Just to commemorate the new resort. If you like it... get it....

Yes!!! I purchase resort-specific items from resorts I'm not staying at. I bought several magnets and polo-shirts on my last trip.
