We are trying to buy a package to stay at the Sequoia Lodge for May for 10 days so we can see Paris as well as Disney. When I go online I get the UK site and a Price in Pounds, but when I call to get a price they gave me the price in US Dollars which is about 400 dollars more for the the same room is there a way to get the cheaper price or does any one know a cheaper way to stay at DLP? Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

We had the same problem booking from Australia, both the UK and US price was cheaper than the price I was given in Euros for us as Australian Residents. We just had to take that price. But I believe there are some on here who have booked using a UK address, if you know someone in the UK then you might be able to book under their address and get the price in pounds.

I wish I had known this before as I do have friends in the UK so could have used their address, I just didn't think of it back then  We had a fantastic time anyway, even if we did pay a little more. :)

Yes, I had this issue with them when wanting a Euro quote. I escalated a complaint to their manager who explained that the system is hardcoded to produce invoices in certain countries for certain currencies only. You therefore need a UK address to book in sterling, a European address to book in Euros etc etc. However the address itself is irrelevant as they did not post confirmations anyway - as all confirmations are emailed. All you need is therefore an address for them to put into their system to generate an invoice in the currency you want - which is then emailed to you.

Regards

Stickytutu, have a look at this thread here which may be of some help to you. :) Sometimes (not always) the Disney hotels are available on Expedia and you may be able to book room only rates in euros. Bear in mind that although breakfast will be included your park tickets will most probably not be.

Another alternative is to consider one of the off-site hotels ~ have a look at the info on them in our Hotel FAQ thread which also includes on-line booking sites. These will also include breakfast but not park tickets.

Any questions just ask away. :)
