Is it possible to buy a one-day WDW ticket from Disney or from a secondary seller (like Undercover Tourist)? UT seems to sell 3-day tx, Disney store only sells 3-day tx. We just want to get ONE day.

We're trying to spread out our expenses and are trying to buy everything in advance that we possibly can. I hope someone can help with some advice please?

I recently asked about a ONE day ticket here on the boards, and was told the only place you can buy it is at any Guest Services on WDW property, or the gates to the parks. You're correct, UT (Undercover Tourist) starts at 3-day tickets.

Our time and funds will be limited also, so we'll ONLY be getting a one day ticket on our next trip as well.....gotta get my MK fix! :thumbsup2

Rats! That's good to know.

We're actually planning 2 days at the parks, but we were hoping to buy 1 day now, 1 day later.

Hmmmm..... we will have to shuffle stuff around to pay for other things earlier......

Thank you for the advice. Actually, it's an interesting situation.
We're all 3 of us definitely going to MK for one day. We have CRT breakfast ressies, the whole bit.

BUT.... DH is unsure of whether he wants to go for day 2. And we're not sure what the weather will be like, how much time DD will want to spend at the resort... we want the freedom to play it by ear. So rather than get stuck with a day's worth of tickets that get wasted, we'd rather just buy the second day separately.

And yes, I was aware of the volunteer option, and have signed up for it. I'm excited! I already do quite a bit of volunteering now, I'm wondering what charities / activities will qualify.

You can also upgrade your one day ticket on the day you use it. I know that for sure. Now, you may be able to upgrade it even after that. as long as it falls within 14 days. But I'm not sure about that. Since technically, it has expired after the day is up, I'm thinking you can't.

But as far as spreading out your expenses goes, there is little incentive to purchase a one day ticket now. You don't save much with the smaller number of days by purchasing via UCT or other sellers. Wait to buy it on the day you arrive at MK and then decide before you leave the park if you want to upgrade it to another day. You can also upgrade the "free" day ticket if you are able to sign up for something here in Canada.

A single day ticket can be upgraded, even if already expired, just as long as it is upgraded within 14 days of first use.

That's your best bet if you think you will not want more than a 1 day ticket.

Thanks for clarifying fan1080, I thought that you might still be able to upgrade within the 14d window, but I wasn't sure.:thumbsup2
