Buying one Bitty Twin

Does anyone know the current price to buy one of the Bitty Twins (and if this is still possible). I know you need to do it in store, and we have stores that we can reasonably couple with a day trip, if need be. Also any tips on when/if AG might have clothes/accessories on sale (cyber Monday?) I'm also open to good, used condition but they seem to be going for high prices on ebay, in which case I'd just assume buy new...

My DD is 2, and obsessed with her Rapunzel doll right now, I'm hoping a high quality doll with more manageable hair will be a hit (I am constantly brushing and rebraiding Rapunzel's hair and of course DD wants to do it all herself). I have a bunch of AG dolls from my childhood at my mom's house, but I want to hold those back until she's a lot older).

Another option is getting the twins and holding one back for her sister (due in January), but I have a feeling once younger DD is into the bittys older DD may be moving onto AG.

I never heard of buying just one out of the two Bitty Twins. It's a set and sold that way. What about the Bitty Baby instead? American Girl occasionally has sales and if I recall correctly they also have items on Cyber Monday. Things go fast. But they could have a lot of what you're looking for or nothing at all. I don't think its common to buy just one (I.e. Not on the website), but I feel like I've seen/heard of it at the stores. Bitty baby is another option, but I think DD wands a doll with hair (she loves her only doll with "real" hair and completely ignores the dolls with painted hair). If I can't get just one I'll likely just buy the set and either hold one back or sell it...

I ordered just one for my DD last christmas. I want to say it was around $65 plus tax and shipping. If you call your store they can do a charge send, and give you a price for it before shipping. I was even able to get the doll and some add-ons to utilize the spend $100 free shipping.

Thanks. That's about what I was thinking. We'll have to figure out if we want to trek to a store or just call and have one shipped. I missed out on this year's free shipping, otherwise spending $100 to get to free shipping would have been a good way to go

You might want to do this if you only want a boy doll. He is only offered in the twin set.

I bought one from the store just a couple months ago. It was around $72. I wish I had just ordered two and kept one for another holiday or birthday or eBayed it.

We have one twin as well. I believe it was around $65-70. Would sell it to you pretty cheaply except DD (who was 2 when we got it) colored all over the poor little thing with a marker.

We purchased one twin for DD last year from the LA shop. There was no problem and I didn't even realise that it could be.
AG just had a pretty good clothes sale last month, but I would be interested if they reduced clothes on Cyber Monday or after Christmas too, if anyone knows.
We are coming from Australia and DD is sooooo excited about going back there and I have ordered and sent to our hotel some things from the last sale.

Do you know anyone else that might be interested in just one? It would be cheaper to buy the set together and split it than to each buy one individually. My mom did this one Christmas....Gave one to my daughter and one to my niece.

You didn't miss free shipping! I used code PF39358 yesterday for free shipping with $100 purchase, and it's supposed to be good through Nov. 30.

I'd probably ask friends if anyone else was thinking about getting one twin, to split the costs.

Glad I didn't miss free shipping, now just have to debate if we'll be near a store, if I should call and see about getting one shipped from a store or just ordering the set online I am thinking just getting the set and holding one back for YDD or someone else might not be a bad idea (or ebay...dang "single" twins are pricy on there!)
