Buying lightning lane for Family member that is Castmember

My Disney World lightning lane purchase window opens on 12/22. Checking in to POFQ on 12/29.

My niece is a cast member and is going to join us at HS on 1/1/26. I plan on buying LLMP for that day but I'm not sure how to buy it for her. If she's not on our hotel reservation, can I buy for her at the 7 day mark? If not, is it at the 3 day mark? How does that work in general when you have a party that isn't eligible to buy LL at the same time?

No, if the CM is not listed on your reservation they don't get the benefit of the 7 day advanced purchase option. This is only for guests staying at a WDW resort. Could you add them to your resort reservation?

Generally at the 3 day mark depending on how they will enter the park on 1/1.

Have you linked the CM and their MDE profile as part of your Family & Friends list?

If yes then you can book at the 3 day mark. In this case you might want to book for everyone for that day at that same point. Otherwise it is almost impossible to sync up overlapping return times.

I called guest relations and it's not possible with our room and ticket reservation to add her. They mentioned I could cancel my tickets and buy them separately. As they are 2 day tickets, there are none available, I would have to buy 3 days tickets.

Looks like I will buy LLMP at the 3 day mark and go from there.
