Buying Gift cvards on Mypoints to earn points on Mypooints

Seems silly for you to be offended over someone pointing out the website's policy.

Like I said, your experience might be different, but their FAQ specifically says NO. Given that Mypoints will refer a member to their FAQs if anyone has a problem getting their points, I tend to believe them instead of an internet stranger. No offense intended.

Well, i dont' care WHAT the FAQs say. I purchased Disneystore gift cards last year and did NOT receive points for the purchase. Period.

I don't care to be called a liar. This was my purchase in March

I didn't call you a liar. I said that it may have been your experience but it doesn't jive with MyPoints' FAQs. And when it comes down to it, I'm more likely to believe that MyPoints is going to point to their FAQs as the last word in a case of disputes.

Guess my points just likes me. One time I did not get credited points (disney gift cards), I emailed them on it, they gave me the points. No dispute, no problems.

Yes, indeed. That is most likely the case.

I don't know why you insist on arguing what is clearly in Mypoints' policy. I acknowledged that your experience may be different. But I wouldn't try it and if anybody else attempts it, they should do so, knowing that it is not within the website's guidelines.

But that is just it, you haven't tried it. I speak from experience. It may be their policy and if they choose to enforce it fine. Why don't you try it once? What have you got to lose? If you would have bought the cards anyway, points or not.

I'm not arguing the policy. In my case it doesn't apply to the disney store and never has.

but i HAVE tried it. I bought hundreds of dollars in GCs last year and not a single point was credited.

I purchased a card just this weekend...and i did not receive points for it.

If you got them, lucky you...I wish I did. So, if someone is going to buy the cards anyway, it wouldn't hurt to try...but my experience is that they do NOT give MyPoints points for purchasing Disney gift cards.

did you follow up with mypoints? If you did and they said no, then I'm sorry. My experience has been different. and you do know that you have to wait at least a month for the points to credit. They are not instant.

no, it doesn't take a month for the points to credit, it takes 30 days for them to be eligible for redemption after they are credited. My experience is that points are usually credited within 10 days.

regardless, the points DID credit and i did not receive points for the gift card. I received them for my merchandise portion of the order but not the gift card I purchased.
