Buying from Disney Store

As usual you can always deliver to the hotel before your cruise, just mention your name and mention “hold for guest arrival”.

I knew that was the rule in gen - but I thought maybe since we were talking about deliveries from their own store that might work.

The parcel may be sent by Disney, but it certainly won't be delivered by them. Not to sound snarky, but people need to stop living under the impression that everything with the Disney name on it is inside its own little bubble.

Since Disney Store can never really guarantee what day a delivery will be it would be very hard (even if DCL did accept deliveries) to coordinate and make sure the item arrived via UPS or FEDEX or the like when you wanted it to. Same with shipping to a hotel...any delay and you are out of luck.

Best to just have the item shipped to your home and bring it with you.

I ordered stuff from Disney and it took about 3 weeks. I would assume since most of it comes from China it will take longer. Disney already feeling the pinch. In Oct I was on the Wonder and they had little merch in the shops. The crew said it was because Disney didnt want to set up a warehouse for a few months. Saved me a lot of money.

Hopefully, all of this will be resolved by the end of September when we leave for our trip.

Fingers crossed. My company is banning travel till end of May. Even Ben told we cant go to concerts, amusement parks, etc til June or we have to quarantine ourselvs.

Your company can ban personal travel and events like that???
Yes of course they can if it is part of your contract or job duties. I have a friend who has a large poultry company as a client. When they require his services, he has a list of forbidden activities he cannot do in the 7 days prior to fulfilling his job. ( I don't know how anyone would honestly know, but that is a different matter all together). Generally the activities aren't that big of a deal and probably would not occur for most people, but still interesting all the same.

Curious has got me... what activities can he not do working in poultry?

He works for a media company and is contracted too put together videos, commercials, training projects, etc of operations. The bird houses are strictly controlled. He cannot keep a pet bird for example, or visit an aviary, pet store, or zoo the week prior. There is a potential of spread of avian diseases. In fact when he arrives on site, they provide him new clothes, including underwear!
