If I remember correctly, there is an area in the lego store where you can create your own minifigures. Are there any Star Wars type people you can create? DS has lost several lightsabers ( mostly the little colored part) and I'd love to be able to pick up a few. I have found on ebay and some lego type on line shops, but the shipping is a killer.
I swear he has the most fun with the people. Just about every ship he has is in several pieces and he just makes his own...I wish you could just buy minifigs at a reasonable price !!
Should I mention that we will be in WDW over a Star Wars weekend and plan to spend some time at DHS, do they offer any special lego stuff there we wouldn't find in the store ?
I know I am going to overpay. At Universal last summer we spent $15 on a Captain America action fig. DS wanted so bad, and Captain America is his favorite, but then CA needed a friend so we spent $15 on a Wolverine that we could have got at home (3 days later) for $7.99 at the toy store.

Nope, the minifigurines are all generic (firefighter, policeman, etc). Star Wars figurines only come in the Star Wars sets, which is why so many people sell the figurines by themselves on Ebay for $$$!

There are no other Lego Star Wars sets at SWW, however, there is a lot of other Disney collectible Star Wars merchandise, in all price ranges.

We were there Dec 1, 2008, so it might have changed since then, but at that time there were no Star Wars or any trademarked minifigures you could buy. Only generic figures, I think $10 for 3. My son made some bad guys with mean faces and weapons.

Here is my best tip for you for getting Star Wars minifigures:

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=472&d=322&va=1

They have 6 different sets of magnet minigfigures. You get 3 for $15. The magnets come off the bottom, so you can use them as regular minifigures!

For missing lightsaber blades you could try ordering them as replacement parts from lego.com, still have to deal with shipping costs though.

At the LEGO store at our local mall, the figures are generic as PP's mentioned. I am guessing this is chain wide, but don't know for sure.

Did want to mention that LEGO will generally replace any lost pieces from their sets for free. DS10 had lost a couple pieces to a set and we were able to get them shipped to us at no cost! I can't find the contact info. right now, but maybe it is available on line?

ETA-Oops! I see that the PP mentioned how to get replacement pieces. We didn't have to pay shipping, but that was last year so things could have changed.

Have you checked out the pick a brick section of lego.com? You can make a bunch of minifigs (generic).....my guys love the minifigs the best too, and this is a great way to add more guys w/o buying sets or more expensive magnet figures. You can add different hats, hair, beards, in addition to the various heads/legs/bodies....there are also some accessories for the minifigs (like a suitcase, etc).

I order these pieces:

http://shop.lego.com/pab/?warning=false (right around page 52 or so the legs start!)

and also use them for Easter eggs (really hard to find small stuff for boys, so these are perfect)....I also used them as the toy in a crane game.

Anyway, hope this helps!
