Buying EP Online??

We're going to Universal one day during our Disney trip. I am getting EPs for my 2 kids, but not me and my husband as we really don't ride, we are more about taking in the sights and strolling around...oh yeah, and being pack horses for the kids while they are on the rides, lol. Anyways...I can save $52 by buying tickets on Undercover Tourist. I know I can buy a combo ticket on Universal that includes the EPs, but can I buy just the Express Passes online on the Universal site without buying tickets? Do we pick those up at a kiosk or are they mailed? I seem to remember from our last trip that they took your picture for the EP?? But, we stayed onsite that time if it matters. I want to buy the EPs ahead of time just in case...we are going on Saturday 12/22. Busy, I know, but that is just the way it worked out. Thanks for any info!

Yes you can buy the ep online

Once you buy them, no switching as they are date and park related

EP prices can increase If you wait and purchase them day you are at the park

I checked the UO site and did not see it required to have a day ticket in order to buy the ep

There are two different ep

Multi use and one time per ride/show
and
Single park or both parks

Some rides have the single rider line
It cuts down the wait time for the rides

You can do a pick up if you order the ep online

Did you go through the order site ?
It does have some info to explain general info

(When I was at uo last month, the eye recognition camera was being used
for hotel guests that had the free ep usage
No photo card was being used except hotel key card)

I did look at the site, but just wasn’t sure about purchasing just the EP. I looked at it again and went through and it did let me add just the EP to the cart...and it has a shipping option...so...not sure about that. Didn’t know you could get them shipped... I’ll be buying the EP unlimited since they like to ride certain rides more than once, thank you for the info!

Some peeps do a throw away room if they do the unlimited ep P2P as it could come out cheaper in the long run

Check out the total costs of the cheapest premier hotels for one night compared to buying 2 P2P unlimited ep

Yes, the unlimited is the one I will purchase. I tried the room first, but it is more than the 2 EPs...if we were getting them for all 4 of us, it would be better, but not for just 2. Time period is high for when we're going. Thanks again for the info. I will purchase these today!
