Buying dvc resale timeframe after closing

Hey everyone,
I took the plunge into dvc and went resale for 215 points at AKL. Our closing is set for Wednesday 7/30. My question for anyone whose been through the process is how long after it closes should I be able to make a reservation? I know it takes a little longer if you actually wait for the member packet to arrive in the mail but what is the process if you want to book before getting your packet also?

Typically you can call member accounting 12-14 days after its recorded with the OCC and depending on who you get on the phone they may give you your member info. I called on a Tuesday at day 13 and got my info..... the packet arrived in the mail on Saturday.

Sweet. Thank you! I was just making sure in had enough time to make a reservation for sept 18-28. I know I'll have to do some resort hopping though but that's alright.
