Buying Disney gift cards online at Target

I was wondering for those that have bought Disney cards online at Target if you buy all of your gift cards at once or if you buy them in a few orders? I have close to $1,000 in gift cards to buy for our trip next month and I'm worried that something will happen to the cards (i.e. they get stolen) if I do big groups of them. I'm not able to go to a Target store to get any as the closest store is at least 2 hours away. Any experiences will be helpful.

There is a limit per order so you can't buy $1,000 in one order however I don't see why would you buy GC at target online since you won't receive any discount.

If you pay with your RedCard you get 5% off.

You are right I forgot that even works anymore since it is not as good of a deal as it used to be.

Sign up for a disney gift card account. If you lose/misplace your cards you can transfer the balance to a new one. You can also take all your smaller cards and transfer them to a card with a max balance of $1000.00
