Buying Blue Man Group tickets the day of?

I am interested in going to the Blue Man group show when we go to Universal in July. We are staying at the RPR club level. But this trip is a slow, play-it-by-ear kind of trip. We have 7 day tickets and we plan to do the parks for a little bit each day, hang out at the pool, nice dinner, etc. I don't want to schedule anything but just go when we feel like it. Will it be a problem buying BMG tickets the day we want to go? Maybe the day before? Or will it be sold out? I could schedule this if necessary. The other thing I want to do is the Luau. Should I buy tickets now or can I wait until we are there?

It will be me, DH, DD19, DD16.

I bought a single an hour before a show in July last year, was maybe 10 rows off the show, there were plenty of seats. I'd bet you'd be fine. They have two shows a night, so there are plenty of seats available.

I just don't get blue man group. I watched a show online, and I don't understand what the big deal is. Can someone please tell me why this is a don't miss show?

Think of it this way....a couple of guys got together, formed a band and made their instruments out of PVC piping. It's amazing to see and hear the different sounds that come out of a simple reused product.

We are doing a low planning July trip and were wondering how good the seats were going to be if we purchased tix the day of.

For mid June I was able to get tickets at the last minute for four of us. If you are interested in seeing a Blueman Group show, Orlando is the place to do it. Tickets prices here are less than half the price of tickets in Las Vegas. And the Orlando venue is great too.

I too was skeptical - how could three blue guys do an entire two hour show without speaking a word? So, last year we got front row seats (myself, wife, son and grandson) and had the best time! Funny, "amazing feats of skill" (watching a guy catch about 20 marshmallows in his mouth from like 25 feet away), lots of PVC pipe music, comedy, interesting lighting/special effects, and an ocean of paper for the grand finale - pulled down from the middle of the theater to the front by all the guests. It's just different, and watching a video (I have one of theirs) is way not like being there.

It helps a lot if you like music with a beat, rock n roll style.

You gotta give it a try - you won't be disappointed.
