I'm getting ready to buy and Poly has peaked my interest. I would love to stay there and my usual vacations fall in May, or/ and October and Jan. From your crystal ball:scratchin, think I'd get to stay at Poly, without buying at poly in those months? Maybe not the first or second or even third year- I can wait.

Or should I just buy at SSR or Contemporary and call it a day? I enjoy both resorts for different reasons. I also feel like buying at BCV or BWV just isn't worth it anymore for length of contract time left. Or I'd buy into those.

Honestly, I'll probably get a small Hilton Head contract anyway no matter what. Is is best to buy resale or direct for 100 points?

Only you can decide on which resort is your favorite, what your booking strategy will be, and how disappointed you might be if you don't get to stay where you want, when you want.

Resale will always be less expensive if you can find the right contract.

If you'd just like to try the Poly now and then if you can get it then yes, I think it is likely people will be able to book it at 7 months at times. If you'd be kicking yourself to not stay there the majority of the time then you probably ought to buy there. Since it sounds like you'd be happy staying at either SSR or BLT then I'd go that route and then just see whats available at 7 months and switch if there's something you feel like trying.

You should be good for the occasional stay there for a studio at the Poly, I'd buy elsewhere resale and try to get in when you want. I would not buy HHI for WDW trips. As for SSR vs BLT it really depends on how you'll use it. SSR will be cheaper up front and the dues should be comparable long term and the only difference after that is that you'd have a preference for BLT but nothing else (SSR is easy to reserve). IF you'd stay at BLT a large % of the time AND you want a 3 BR or standard view villa much of the time, I'd like go with BLT. For essentially all else I'd say SSR is the best option.

Only buy at HHI if you want to stay there during high season (summer and major holidays). I own there and love the place (much more to do than at VB) but if you want to stay at WDW and are looking for cheaper points buy SSR or OKW.

Go ahead and buy HHI or SSR. You will certainly get Poly stays for now. Problem is 100 points won't go far at the Poly. I would lean more towards SSR for the longer years, unless you definitely want HHI summer stays.

I should have been more specific. I'd want a small HHI island contract to use in the summer and Fall months. Then also another contract for SSR or BLT.:D For about 100 points or less would you go with direct or resale for HHI?

The other contract I'd want to be at least 130 points-150 points. Some years I use all my 200 current points and others I bank or pull from another year. Now I'm hooked on one bedrooms and now with inviting other family ...we need two bedrooms and more points overall! haha seems like a good reason to add on.
