If I was to buy Annual Passes for the family, can anyone tell me of a website that will tell me of the choices and where to buy them or do you just turn up at the park?

Also when we booked our current holiday for June we were only offered a package that included tickets, so how do you book a room that doesn't include tickets into the park.

Sorry if thats 2 different threads, but they are sort of connected.

Hi,

DLRP Magic has a really informative Annual Pass page -

The easiest way to buy them is on your first day at the park :)

Generally speaking, unless you are already an annual pass holder, its difficult to book a Disney hotel room without buying tickets. Sometimes Expedia sell onsite rooms without tickets though.

Disney have come up with a crafty pricing policy so if you book room only it is usually more expensive than buying the package. They market this as buying the package gives you a discount on the room only price. (They wouldn't win the logic prize)

But there is a sort of a way around that. If only one person in the room books tickets, the discount on the room is still given in full and the rest of the occupants can use their annual passes.

I have posted this before and some people have said that Disney staff were not aware of this. I have done it so I know it works, but it was not before some pushing.

I would suggest to drill into this you ask for the price if for say 4 occupants as follows

1) price for room only
2) price for package for all 4
3) price for package for 1 of the 4, and the other 3 as occupants only

Regards

Both times we have bought annual passes we have stayed off site at one of the partner hotels (Holiday Inn first time/Kyriad the 2nd time)

Some people have been lucky enough to book room only before buying an AP but this is unusual - they usually only let you do it when you actually have a pass already.

I think there is info in the FAQ sticky about the types of APs - dont forget you can get a discount if you have a sponsor
