Buying Alcohol in a port

Does anyone know if you can buy wine etc at a port and bring back onto the ship to drink.

We are on a Med cruise and thought it would be nice to buy a couple of bottles in France/Italy

Yes, you can. Ask your room server for a bottle opener and wine glasses. If you enjoy it in your room, there is no additional fee. If you take the bottle to the dining room, there is a $22 corking fee. You can also take a glass with you into the dining room. We did both. Enjoy the wines and the cruise!
