My friends and I will be buying a 1 day ticket to Disneyland. Is there any benefit to buying it early vs buying it once we get there? I know there used to be a 10% discount if you bought online but not sure you get that anymore.

Good news is we are going during the value time so our ticket is only $97 per the website.

We are planning on going to Downtown Disney for some shopping our first night in Anaheim ( not entering the parks) so was thinking we could just get them then since we'll have the time and I can't imagine the ticket booths being really busy at 5-6pm on a Monday.

The biggest advantage is that you can go straight to the turnstiles with an e-ticket and won't have to wait in line. If you're not worried about the wait, then there's no difference.

I would buy before hand. Ticket booths can be busy at any time of the day. You might luck out but you might get stuck in a half hour line that you can easily avoid.

As mentioned above, you don't have to deal with the ticket booth lines when you get there. You also have some protection against price increases. I also like to purchase before hand because it's one less expense I have to include in my budget for a trip.
