Buy Tickets Early?

While we had no issue pre-covid buying tickets early for FP, is there any reason to buy them far in advance at this point? We have an early May trip onsite for 7 nights, going for it since we have many DVC points expiring, and trying to decide if we should buy them now like we would normally do. Does it quasi-guarantee entry to the parks?

Tickets alone do not guarantee entry into a park, however you need to have tickets to make a parks reservation which guarantees you entry. I suggest you keep an eye on the Parks Reservation Calendar and when it starts to show yellow for your week is when you'll need to buy the tickets and make your reservations then.
