Buy Now - Stay Feb. '07?

After considering purchasing points for a couple of years now - I think we are finally going to sign on. If we buy points now - what are our chances of using them to stay in a 2BR or 3BR in Feb. '07? Thanks for the input.

If you're planning to buy direct from DVC, you can ask your salesperson to check availability beforehand. If it means making a sale, you never know what sort of magic they might be able to work. You probably won't have your choice of resorts on such short notice--Saratoga Springs is the most likely to be available. With regard to February, the week after President's Day is likely to be the toughest to book now. Other than that, the rest of the month tends to be fairly slow.

Resale, no luck at all. Through DVC, maybe a two bedroom, but no way on a three bedroom.

I did what tjkraz suggests you do. We toured on a Tuesday (I think) and we told the salesperson that we would buy, but wanted to convert the rest of our trip to a DVC stay with the points starting that night. They were able to get it done and it was during Presidents' week. We had a 2BR.

I bought in last Saturday and there were plenty of 1 and 2 bedrooms available in February. We chose Beach Club Villas for the end of February but many were available

I bought last Oct and my guide got me into the BWV with a boardwalk view and VB during Presidents week- I also got to try out the BCV too.

Just ask-- I know SSR had alot of availability too.

If your going early in Feb you'll have a better chance!!
