This will be our 2nd DL trip - first was several years ago. We'll be there Oct 17 in DCA and then at OB that night, plus DL on Oct 18. I'm trying to decide if I should buy tickets with genie+ or just regular tickets and add genie+ later if I think it's warranted.

Experienced DL folks - will I need genie+ on a DCA party day? If the answer is "no", I think I'll just buy the regular tickets. I can always add genie+ when I enter DL. Even if it's $40 for that day, I still come out $20 ahead (pre-loaded genie+ is $30/day).

It really depends on what you want to see and do in DCA. Will you be going on the rides in the evening or will you be participating in other OBB activities?

Everything, even non LLMP rides, will be crowded. If it isn't going to break the bank, I think having it will allow you to enjoy the park more.

Question, If I get Genie Plus on a OBB night, when do the LL stop working? 5-6 PM are those the last times you can get for Mission break out?

We went in late October 2022 and did a full day at DCA with Genie+ then OBB. As I recall it was a little busy during the day but not bad. Once 3pm hit it got crazy busy for the next 3 hours until the non-OBB people had to leave. For sure it was nice to have Genie+ during the mix-in time. For instance, we did Soarin at around 4:30pm and WITH a LL it was still a 35-40 minute wait. Standby during that time was 2+ hours. I was glad to have Genie+ as that was our only DCA day that trip, but not sure it is necessary if you don't mind not doing much from 3-6. After OBB started the lines dropped massively and we did a bunch of the big ticket rides multiple times.

Thank you - this is helpful!

Thank you. My plan is to go on rides during the day so we can enjoy the party offerings. If we get to ride again b'c lines are lower during the party it will be a bonus. :-)
