This is my first time on this thread and can see some of you have been successful with this and others not so successful. We will be going in June with our 18 month old and 4 year old. I KNOW the four year old would love it, would you recommend it for the 18 month old too? For those of you who had luck recently where were you able to get them? Thanks. Do they just pin on?

You can pin them on or clip them on. Pete and I love ours.

Not sure. I was told everyplace that has them is getting new styles, but no one I talk to now even knows anything about it. But the person that told me about the new ones was at Disney's main office and the ones that told me they had no clue were working in the stores. They may not have gotten word yet. I'll have to get more when I get down there. I finally got mine ordered today. Thankfully.

They called today while I was out. Hubby forgot to tell me he ordered them for me. They'll be waiting for us at the WL gift shop when we get there in a couple weeks.

Thank you so much for this thread! I would never have known they had been out of stock. I just got off the phone with Marina at the DTD Christmas Stroe and ordered my badges. I left a message last night at 7 and just got called at 11:30 this morning.

I must not sound nice enough on the phone. I left a message Monday, Tuesday and at 8:30 this morning. Still no call back. Oh well, I guess I will wait until I get there.

I was able to get right through and order a pair of the red GoH badges this morning. Now I need to sit through 10 days of salivating at the door for the UPS truck.

I am so excited. I finally got through!! Yippee!!! She said that she would hold the badge until a couple of days before my check-in (3/28) so that I would not have to pay the $8.95 shipping. She will just send it over to Pop Century for me. Hope it works out. If you have problems getting through, just keep trying. She said they are swamped with calls for them.

Just got through ! Ibeen trying all day after leaving 2 messages yesterday and this morning. I ordered 7 for our trip in March - now just praying that they arrive with the correct spellings. Bet GoofyDad is right...they will be all over the parks and the CM will be so sick of looking at them that wont even acknowledge that anyone has them.

We are doing a cruise too so it will be fun to see if the CM on the cruise recognize them.

If they do have some special GoH badges for the 50th celebration I'll be definately picking some of them up. But for now I'm so happy to have found at least the old red ones.

No, actually the way she made it out to be is that these badges will be permenant and just like the old ones but newer colors and other characters other than Mickey. I think they were looking at these boards and decided that there was even more money to be made. Sooooo many people like and buy them (some buy them EACH time they go) that it was a smart move to offer a wider variety.

I have been following this thread for some time and thank you all for your info. I tried calling the DTD store and they were busy and am waiting until our trip to get our pins. It is right around the corner - February 6. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so on our fist day we are jumping right over to the Magic Kingdom. Does anyone know if the badges are sold there and if so where? They only two places that I have heard of are Down Town Disney, The Christmas Shop and the 5 and 10 in MGM. Any other Location? We aren't planning on MGM until the 9th and weren't going to DTD until the very end of our trip ( my husband surprised me with Cirque tickets)

Those are the only 2 locations that sell the GOH badges. You can keep trying to call them and they should be able to make them up and have them sent over to the WL for you.

Thats what I thought. I'll keep calling. Do they ever call back or do you have to get lucky and hope they answer the phone? They must be bombarded with similar calls after being out-of-stock.
